Brittany A. Council

4-H Youth Development/Urban Agriculture Extension

Brittany A. Council is the 4-H/Urban Agriculture Extension Agent for Richmond City, and has been with Virginia Cooperative Extension since 2011.  Brittany comes to extension with a background in animal science and agriculture education that allows her to deliver educational programming on sustainable horticulture, positive youth development, and urban agriculture. She is conscious of the various opportunities Extension has to offer the citizens of Richmond City.

She coordinates the Richmond City Master Gardener program and works diligently to bring youth together throughout the city. The main goal of her programming is to reach and teach citizens skills that enhance their quality of life. Through collaborative partnerships Brittany believes she can develop a signature program that links all entities of the community.
